Meet your therapist, Kristina.
Welcome to KOR Results! I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist in California & the founder of KOR Results.
Thank you for considering therapy with me. Are you ready to actively participate in managing your OCD?
It’s important for you to know that my therapeutic approach is direct, and focuses on accountability. Some clients describe my style as “no nonsense.” This means teaching you evidence based concepts and principles and having you apply what you learn outside our sessions and engage in practice assignments.
Together we review what you practiced and ensure that you are clear on the concepts and have practiced applying them to your specific OCD themes. As we work together we will collaborate on any additional items that you need support with.
I value open communication and expect you as the client to come prepared and ready to share your insights, your learning, and anything else you need to address as it relates to our work together.
My role is to guide and support you. We may laugh together, we may cry, we may need to have tough conversations. Whatever we need to do, I will show up for you to help walk through this journey.
If you’re open to this level of active participation and communication, I’m confident we can make significant progress together. However, if you’re not comfortable with direct feedback or consistent engagement outside of sessions, it may affect how effective our therapy can be. Finding the right fit is crucial.
Let's discuss if this approach aligns with your needs.
Here is more information about my training background. After receiving my bachelor’s at the University of San Francisco, I continued my education at the California Institute of Integral Studies to obtain my Master’s (M.A.) in Counseling Psychology.
After my education, I gained approximately six years working at Seneca Family of Agencies, in which I worked with at-risk youth with disorders revolving around: PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), substance abuse, relationship and family issues, etc. After Seneca, I moved onto The Gateway Institute, in which I specifically specialized my skills in OCD during weekly outpatient sessions and providing Intensive Outpatient Program services (IOP’s). During my 4 years in the Gateway Institute, I honed my skills into the following evidence-based therapies: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing. These skills were used to treat the following, but not limited to, disorders: Harm OCD, Contamination OCD, Perfectionism, Relationship OCD, and Just Right OCD, and other OCD subtypes. I have also now been trained in Inference based CBT (ICBT) for OCD.
Now, I bring my skills and experience to you! With my telehealth psychotherapy sessions and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), you will have the tools necessary to live YOUR life on YOUR terms and not ask OCD’s permission.
